How Can I Help?

501(c)3

GREAT NEWS!!!

The Indigenous Empowerment Summit is now a 501(c)3 !!

So what does this mean?  It “provides a deduction, for federal income tax purposes, for some donors who make charitable contributions to most types of 501(c)(3) organizations”.**  Meaning, your donation(s) to the summit may be a tax write-off!  Check with your tax preparer.

The summit is a completely student run event.  Meaning, as students, we are putting this endeavour on by fundraising, seeking sponshorships, donations, and grants.  The monies and items we receive go completely to the summit expenses i.e. printing of flyers/programs, feeding the guest speakers, and assisting with travel money.  The coordinators, Jodi and Diane, and the committee are dedicating their time, energy, and skills because they want to help the people.  If you can help us in ANY way possible, we would greatly appreciate your assistance.  If you would like to donate items to help us fundraise (we will be making breakfast burritos and ndn tacos in our sleep for awhile-lol), or you would like to help by sponsoring a speaker/lunch/dinner, or you would like to make a donation, please email/call us at:

We will recognize all people and entities by being listed on the programs, flyers, and the website.
